Fire Fighting Fabrics
Experienced fire fighters know the first line of defense against burns is their Turnout Gear. They should have, and rightly deserve, gear made from fabrics offering the best protection from excessive heat. Norfab’s OMNI line of fabrics represent unique Basofil® / DuPont aramid blends for firefighters. Our combination of outershells - OMNI Vantage™ or OMNI Elite® - and thermal liners - OMNI Quilt™ - provide the highest Thermal Protective Performance (TPP) values in the industry. OMNI fabrics are ideally suited for use by our front line Firefighters to protect them and keep them safe when they are in harm’s way.
OMNI Vantage™, the newest fabric to the OMNI line, provides maximum heat blocking as a firefighter outer shell fabric. This unique, inherently FR, tri-fiber blend woven fabric offers the perfect combination - DuPont™ Kevlar® brand fiber for strength, DuPont™ Nomex® brand fiber for abrasion and color fastness and Basofil® for superior heat resistance. OMNI Vantage™ has proven durable, providing long wear life. It offers the best burn protection (TPP) weight for weight as compared to other brands of firefighter outer shell fabrics.
